Farming for Future Health
Our family farm developed from a strong desire to know and control everything that goes into the food we eat. We hear saddening testimonies of chronic illnesses and cancer plaguing people throughout the world, our communities, and even those closest to our own family every day. Investing in our health and our planet is of utmost importance for the future.
Rausch Farms is passionate about the animals we raise. We believe all life has dignity, therefore, all animals should be raised in a manner reflected of that. We believe a pig should be raised out in the open, in pasture, where it can dig and root for worms, grubs, and other insects, just as it would in the wild. We believe a chicken and turkey should be raised on pasture with fresh grasses and weeds to eat, dirt to scratch, and bugs to dig up and eat. All animals should also have chemical free grounds to live on.
Rausch Farms is an Organic (not certified, but same practices followed) farm. We use locally grown Organic Feeds and we are a GMO-Free and Pesticide-Free Farm. Our fields are filled with weeds and the animals, especially the honey bees, LOVE them!
Rausch Farms is a small, Michigan based family farm that supports other local businesses any opportunity we get. We sometimes travel an hour or two away to bring in the best supplies but when we know we are getting the best the market can offer and at fair pricing we feel it is worth the extra effort, especially when another family business is benefiting. We are extremely passionate about all our products and raise them the same way we would want them raised for us.
